Khan Beta, I am in Information Technology. I wish Pakistan could return to normalcy again. People in Pakistan are bitter to each other, they hate other countries and religions. If I visit Pakistan, I want to roam around freely, as it ued to be, while I was growing up. You can send me a direct message by clicking on uzkmi (in the bottom left corner of the screen, or above this note). Meri Dua hae Keh Aap Sub Sada Khush Rahen, Amen. It is mentioned in the Holy Quran that Allah is Rubil Aalameen (Lord of the Universe), Quran is Zikrul Lil Aalameen (A reminder to the universe) and The Holy Prophet is Rahmat Ul’lil Aalameen (Mercy for the Universe). May Allah grant us patience, perseverance, and tolerance towards others, and keep us on the straight path of Islam, Amen. Usman Muhammad Khan, Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA 08054-3315

Adding A Little More about this School Sheikh Abdul Haq was running a private school with the same name at jullundur (Jalandhar), India. After the partition in 1947, He migrated to Okara and established a school at this place with same name. In 1970s, this school was nationalized and came under the control of the Govt. I studied in this school from 1976-1982 where I saw Sheikh Abdul Haq living in one of the portion on first floor, close to school Hall, with his daughter and two grand daughters. Sheikh Abdul Haq died of prolonged illness in 1977. But his daughter and grand daughters were still there. During this period Mukhtaar Sahib was the Headmaster of school. Other well known teachers include Nasrullah Sb (2nd Headmaster), Ashraf Sb (so called right hand of the Headmaster), Anwar Sb (Science Teacher), Bokhari Sb (who then promoted to Lecturer and posted to Govt College Okara), Zahoor Sb, Munir Sb and Sharif Sb (English Teacher who, in 1980s or 1990s, was awarded with the best English Teacher Award), Amin Sb and Akbar Sb. And who can forget Tufail Sb (very old and experienced Teacher) and Hafiz Abdul Hai Sb.

People say that I am ....now But how strange it is..... that ... I don't have time now...I feel proud FOR WHAT I've achieved ....but also very poor for what I've lost ...I wish I could stop the time....(london)

Usman Sb. Asslam Alaikum You indeed have an impressive family history, especially services of your Nana Jan who built Gole Chowk Masjid. Its an architectural marvel, just the other day I was talking to my friend Javed (who is also a chronic case of Nostalgia like me)about this masjid, which is very badly kept. Shop keepers are using its second story rooms as godowns. Its beautiful jharokas are covered with card board boxes or old bricks, these things have tarnished the beauty of this exquisite building. We have planned to ask to Okara administrations to look into this matter and restore beauty of this Masjid. Although I am a bit younger, and live outside Okara City, but I still remember Mrs. Pasha who was friend of my mother and we used to visit her, and her daughter, I dont remember her name but one thing I remember about her is that one of her hands was unfortunately a bit deformed. Your Cousins Zarrar Khalid Usmani and Farooq Usmani are senior to me. I think you have not come to Okara lately, It has changed a lot in the past years. If your ever come to Pakistan, Please visit Okara too. "Nanka Pind" is always a place of love for everone. Please allow me to disgree with you on that Mandir Gurdwara controversy. Okara (Blocks)city was built in 1920s and 30s long after Sikh rule which eneded in 1839. Before partition Okara had a sizeble chunk of hindu population, Sikhs in Okara city were few, most of them lived in villages around Okara. You also have mentioned that its architectural style is of Mandirs, and I have asked around from people who know about history of Okara. It is a Mandir undoubtedly.
